The breakdown of euro-zone HICP inflation data for September, published today, reveals that there was a significant fall in inflation for tourism-related services as the summer season ended. This helped to bring core and headline inflation down a little more rapidly than anticipated, but it does not change the big picture for the ECB which will stick to a hawkish script next week.
