EM manufacturing remained weak at the start of Q4

Despite the tick-up in the EM manufacturing PMI in October, manufacturing activity appears to have remained soft and we think this will be the case over the rest of the year. The surveys suggest that goods price pressures were contained last month, but that won’t allay inflation concerns at central banks in Central Europe and Latin America that are contending with high services inflation.
