Taxing high-value property – will it make London uncompetitive?

An annual charge on some owners of residential property worth over £2m is unlikely to have a material impact on London’s competitiveness. The main impact will be to lower the price of those homes affected which, given the rate at which they have been increasing recently, is no bad thing.
