Is the house price correction about to pick up pace?

Our forecasts already envisage that the pace of house price falls will increase next year. With most of the recent downgrade to our economic forecasts accounted for by the deteriorating prospects for net trade, we are not inclined to lower our house price forecasts for 2012. That said, the revisions to the economic forecasts highlight that the risks of a sharper house price adjustment have clearly risen in recent weeks.
