Action on buy-to-let won’t be heavy handed

By the end of the year, the Government is expected to have set out new powers for the Financial Policy Committee over the buy-to-let mortgage market. But the quality of lending to that sector doesn’t appear to be particularly poor. This suggests that, even if they decide to act, any restrictions imposed by the FPC won’t be heavy handed.
