Household Borrowing Monitor (Jun.)

June’s household borrowing figures highlighted that the housing market cooled further around the time of the EU referendum. But there were no signs of a more general slowdown in lending. Nonetheless, with the economic outlook having deteriorated since the vote, we expect household borrowing to slow over the coming quarters.
