Will inflation ever fall back?

The stubbornness of UK inflation has prompted suggestions that there has been an adverse shift in the relationship between growth and inflation and has raised concerns that the low inflation psychology of the last decade or more is under serious threat. But we still think that there are very good reasons to expect inflation to fall back sharply next year and beyond.
