GfK/NOP Consumer Confidence (Jan.)

January’s consumer confidence figures support our expectation that household spending will continue to grow at a solid rate in 2016. But consumption growth will probably be a bit slower than in 2015 as austerity ramps up and the stimulus from earlier falls in energy prices and sterling appreciation begin to fade.
