How will the fall in inflation impact retail property?

February’s drop in CPI inflation does nothing to reduce the overhang of vacant retail space or the challenges of meeting consumers’ changing shopping habits. But it does bring the end of the squeeze on real incomes and, potentially, an end to the retail rental downturn a little closer.
