The Swedish Riksbank’s decision to commit to a prolonged period of low interest rates to help kick start the economy is clearly a step in the right direction, but this alone may not be enough. We think that the Bank will soon be forced to follow the lead of the Fed and the Bank of England and implement unconventional policy measures.
