After slowing sharply over the past year or so, the Saudi economy appears to have turned the corner in Q2. The oil sector’s drag on growth is easing while government stimulus is starting to filter through. Growth should continue to accelerate over the coming quarters and we now expect the Saudi economy to expand by 3.5% this year. Note though, that this would still be weaker than growth seen over the previous decade.
