Saudi economy appears to have slowed in Q1

Our Saudi Arabia GDP tracker suggests that the economy slowed to around 3.5% y/y in Q1. Encouragingly though, there are tentative signs that the slowdown bottomed out at the start of the second quarter. Economic weakness is concentrated in the oil sector, while the non-oil sector continues to grow at a healthy annual pace of around 5% or so.
