Saudi credit growth to remain subdued

Credit growth in Saudi Arabia has started to pick up and, with monetary conditions set to be loosened in line with the US, it is likely to strengthen further over the next couple of years. That said, we doubt that private sector lending growth will return to the double-digit rates recorded in the first half of this decade and this will keep a lid on growth in the Kingdom’s non-oil sector.
