Mexican central bank signals end of the easing cycle

The Central Bank of Mexico (BANXICO) lowered interest rates to a new record low today but its accompanying statement gave a heavy hint that this would be the last cut in the easing cycle. With the outlook for growth slowly improving, we are sticking to our forecast for rates to remain unchanged until at least the second half of 2014.
