Brazil IPCA-15 (Oct.)

The latest rise in inflation in Brazil, to a 12-year high of 9.8% y/y in the first half of this month, was driven by another increase in regulated fuel prices and was in line with expectations. It is therefore unlikely to have much bearing on the outcome of today’s COPOM meeting, at which we expect interest rates to be held at 14.25%.
