Bank of Japan to cut rates to -1.0%

Amid concerns about the sustainability of its large-scale asset purchases, the Bank of Japan now looks likely to rely increasingly on lowering the interest rate on central bank reserves to deliver policy easing. We believe that this rate may lowered to -1.0% over the course of the next year.
