Centrist liberal Emmanuel Macron looks set to comfortably defeat populist eurosceptic Marine Le Pen in Sunday’s final round of France’s presidential election and might even manage to secure a parliamentary majority in June’s National Assembly elections. If so, this would increase the likelihood of at least some of his growth-boosting reforms being implemented, boding well for France’s economic recovery.
