Most information about Germany implies that the economy has continued to perform well after the UK’s Brexit vote. The main exception is the ZEW survey, which suggests that GDP growth could drop to zero. However, while the ZEW shouldn’t be disregarded altogether, there are a number of reasons why it is a less useful leading indicator than other surveys.
