The German recovery - not just a one year wonder?

While expectations of the performance of the German economy this year have become significantly more optimistic as the various forward-looking indicators have strengthened, most forecasters still anticipate a sharp slowdown in growth next year as this year’s interest rate hikes and the planned increase in VAT bite. But we think there are a number of reasons why the recovery in Germany could prove to have rather more staying power.
