While crude stocks fell again last week, gasoline inventories rose a little and there was a further pullback in implied gasoline demand. Given the ongoing rise in virus infections and some re-imposition of restrictions, we suspect that the big gains in gasoline demand are now behind us. This is one reason why we expect oil prices to tread water between now and end-year.
