Fiscal policy in Poland is set to be loosened further this year, which is one reason why economic growth is likely to remain strong. There aren’t any imminent concerns about the health of the public finances, but policy looks too loose given the late stage of the country’s economic cycle and the composition of government spending is unlikely to do much to boost medium-term growth prospects.
