Russia Q4 GDP data old news, Q1 set to be even worse

Detailed Q4 GDP data for Russia, released earlier today, confirmed what we already knew – namely that economic growth slowed to its weakest pace in three years in the final quarter of last year. More importantly, growth at the start of 2013 appears to have been even worse, with activity data suggesting the economy may have grown by just 1% y/y in Q1.
