Russia’s central bank cut its policy rate by 25bp, to 4.25%, today and continued to provide signals that further easing lies in store. But the communications suggest that the pace of easing will slow. We maintain our forecast for the policy rate to be lowered by more than markets expect to 3.50% by early 2021.
