Burma - Asian tiger or basket case?

After decades as an international pariah, Burma is catching the eye of investors. Recent market-friendly reforms, an abundance of natural resources, and proximity to China and India are some of the country’s big attractions. However, Burma faces significant challenges, including the very real threat of the reform agenda being halted or even rolled back. We think it is far too early to declare Burma the next Asian tiger.
