Asia’s credit slowdown has not eliminated risks

Credit growth has continued to slow in the economies which we previously highlighted at greatest risk of a financial crisis. However, with credit still expanding at a faster pace than nominal GDP, risks in the financial sector are continuing to build. And with recent policy easing suggesting central banks are more concerned about propping up growth than deflating credit bubbles, the chances of a crisis are building.
