Vietnam’s economy to remain in the doldrums

Data released today suggest that Vietnam’s economy remains in the doldrums, amid a severe banking crisis which has led to a squeeze on credit. Problems in the banking sector are likely to weigh on the economy, with growth over the next couple of years likely to remain well below that of Vietnam’s recent past.
