Central bank in the Philippines in no rush to adjust rates

With the economy steadily gaining momentum but inflation very low, today’s decision by the central bank of the Philippines (BSP) to keep its key policy rate on hold at 4.0% came as no surprise. Looking ahead, we think the central bank will be in little hurry to adjust interest rates.
