Bank Indonesia to cut rates before the end of the year

With inflation still well above target, today’s decision by Bank Indonesia (BI) to leave its main policy rate on hold at 7.50% was no great surprise. While we think rates will stay on hold in the coming months, we expect to see a cut towards the end of the year.
