The combined message from the Reserve Bank of Australia’s policy announcement on Tuesday 7th August and the publication of the Statement on Monetary Policy on Friday 10th will probably be that even though this will be the 24th month that interest rates have been unchanged, they will probably stay at 1.5% for another 12-18 months yet.
