It was no surprise that the Reserve Bank of New Zealand left interest rate at 1.75% today and again projected that rates won’t rise until the second half of next year at the earliest. More interesting was that the Bank hinted how it is going to deal with being given a new mandate that places more emphasis on employment when the new Governor starts in late March.
