Nigeria: non-oil sector continues to drive GDP growth

The pick-up in Nigerian GDP growth in Q3 was driven by an improvement in the non-oil sector, which has been due in part to continued loose fiscal policy. All of this would seem to strengthen the case for higher interest rates. But the drop in inflation to a six-year low last month is likely to stay the Central Bank’s hand for now.
