The latest RICS Construction Survey showed an improvement in construction workloads and surveyors’ expectations also brightened. That is in line with other data showing the economy is proving more resilient than expected. That said, we still expect a mild recession this year and that suggests construction activity will struggle to gain momentum over the next few months.
