Our Asia Chart Pack has been updated with the latest data and our analysis of recent developments. 

With GDP growth set to struggle and inflation to remain low, central banks are likely to continue to cut interest rates over the coming months. Overall, we expect most central banks to cut rates by 50bps-200bps between now and the end of next year. A victory for Donald Trump in next week’s US presidential election and a stronger dollar might compel Bank Indonesia to bring an early end to its easing cycle. But for most parts of Asia, a weaker dollar and a Trump presidency probably wouldn’t have a major impact on central bank outcomes.
