Robo-signing settlement doesn't change the big picture

News that the $25bn robo-signing settlement has been finalised is good for those homeowners who will benefit from the principal reductions and refinancing schemes that form part of the deal. But the bigger picture is that the settlement is not large enough to dramatically alter the outlook for either the housing market or the wider economy.
