Rental market set to shine

Over the next five years the rental market will be the best performing part of the residential housing market, with the multi-family sector doing particularly well. A sustained rise in rents is clearly not good for tenants, who are still feeling the ill effects of the recession. But in a low yield environment, a rise in rental yields to a 24-year high of 5.5% could prove attractive to investors.
