Inflation: The next 20 years

Inflation has been unusually stable over the past decade at a relatively low level, but there is no guarantee that the status quo will be maintained in the long term. A slide into deflation or a return to high inflation are both possible, with the former perhaps the biggest risk over the next decade and the latter the bigger long-term risk.
