Mortgage Lending (May)

The Bank of England reported a 4.7%m/m fall in approvals for house purchase in May. However, given the strong growth seen last month, we doubt this fall signals a downturn in lending. The demand for housing is improving and we expect approval numbers to continue their upward trajectory over the course of 2015.
