After a brief respite in the middle 2018, housing market activity is once again in decline. As a result, there is little prospect of a recovery in transactions or mortgage approvals before the end of the year. Furthermore, with interest rates rising and house prices already very high, we expect house price growth to slow a little more over the rest of 2018, and to stay very subdued in 2019.
