Demand in the housing market is retrenching after a brief period of post-referendum nerves, as evidenced by the rapid rebound in buyer sentiment. That said, buyer and seller numbers still fell in August – albeit more slowly than before. So it may be several months before the improvement in market conditions feeds through to transactions or house prices.
