London 2012 – Still no gold medal for the economy

On 31st October, there will be 1000 days to go until the start of the London 2012 Olympics. Without wishing to downplay the sporting and cultural significance of the Games, we doubt they will provide as large a boost to the UK economy as some recent statements by politicians and reports suggest.
