Household borrowing continued to stagnate in November. While there are growing signs that the Bank of England’s Funding for Lending Scheme (FLS) is having a positive impact on borrowing costs, this is not yet translating into higher borrowing volumes. Nevertheless, the latest Credit Conditions Survey from the Bank of England offered some promising portents.
