London 2012 Olympics: No gold medal for the economy

With less than two months to go until we find out whether London’s bid to host the 2012 Olympic Games has been successful, the Olympics are gaining ground on the housing market as the most hotly debated topic of conversation. Although there are many reasons why a London Olympics would be good for the UK, our analysis finds that the economic benefits would be very small and not worthy of a gold medal.
