We have revised down our forecasts for GDP growth and now expect a contraction in 2012 as a whole of 0.5% (our previous forecast was zero growth) and growth of just 0.5% in 2013 (down from 1.5%). The OBR and Bank of England also recently revised down their forecasts, but they still look optimistic to us.
