In contrast to the problems on the high street, leisure sector fundamentals look strong. The outlook for leisure rental value growth is positive, supported by rising real incomes and solid underlying occupier demand. Furthermore, despite competition in the retail sector to increase leisure offerings, it does not appear leisure operators will be in a position to bid rents much lower.
