Can stronger industrial occupier market conditions last?

Occupier demand for industrial property increased in Q1 and, given its low starting point, further gains in the near term can’t be ruled out. But the medium-term prospects for the manufacturing and external sectors remain subdued. Accordingly, we think that the apparent improvement in industrial occupier market conditions in Q1 is more likely to fade than to last, with rents set to fall further.
