The prices of industrial metals recouped a little lost ground in the final month of 2015, but still fell sharply last year. The relative resilience in December probably reflected a number of factors including producers discussing supply cuts, firmer Chinese economic data in November and some short covering by investors. The metals markets largely took the first Fed rate hike in their stride.
