Mexico set for a first half slowdown

The softer tone of recent economic data, coupled with signs that support for the government’s reform programme may be fraying, have dented some of the optimism over the outlook for Mexico. Even so, while growth looks set to slow in the first half of 2013, we expect it to recover in the second half and continue to believe that Mexico will outperform Brazil over the next 3-5 years.
