We are revising up our forecast for Mexican GDP growth this year. With consumer demand recovering more strongly than we had originally anticipated and the neighbouring US economy set to receive a boost from a renewed fiscal stimulus, we now expect Mexico to expand by 3.8% this year (previously 3.0%). But any boost is likely to be temporary and we still expect growth to slow to 3.0% next year.
