Inflation being driven by rising food prices... for now

The raft of data released over the past day or so show that inflation across Latin America is accelerating. For now, the pick-up has been driven by food prices. But with growth set to remain strong in much of the region, it appears that core pressures will drive inflation above target in a number of countries next year. The exception is Mexico.
