Interest rates in Colombia were left unchanged at 4.50% on Friday and, although the latest sell-off in the peso and above-target inflation has weakened the case for rate cuts in the near-term, we still think that, on balance, the next move in rates will be down. For now, we are sticking with our forecast for 50bp of cuts to 4.00% by year-end.
